“Life will reward you, but not always by the route you expect.”- Edna Rodriguez

As a bilingual Social Worker, my goal is to help both adults and children recognize, address and learn coping skills to deal with trauma, and current life stressors. As the daughter of Hispanic parents, raised in the CT public school system, I have gained experience working with a number of different cultures in a number of different capacities.

Throughout my career, I have adapted to having a patient-centered approach, helping individuals to navigate through their trauma or current life situations. I am a firm believer of helping you to reach the level of empowerment you are looking to achieve. My ability to speak, read and write Spanish fluently has attributed to my ability of furthering my education and career in which I eventually aspire to become a LCSW.

I completed my Bachelors Degree at University of Bridgeport, then continuing my education at Sacred Heart University, achieving my Masters in Social Work. I have worked in the Social Work field for about 10 years, officially becoming a Social Worker in 2019. During my time at Sacred Heart, I completed a clinical internship which allowed me to gain experience running IOP groups, which gave me to the opportunity to learn about DBT and CBT. I am also certified in Circle of Security and the Trauma Based ARC Grow Model.  I also spent time working at a Victims Service Center in Central Florida mainly working with Sexual Assault Victims, as well as Human Trafficking Victims.
